ACTIVITIES (GAMES & CRAFTS)

Teachers and parents! Listed below are some great rainy day/classroom activities!

Make your own toothbrush!

What you will need:
* Cardboard
* Crayons, Paint, or Markers
* Sponge
* Glue

Instructions:
Cut a large toothbrush handle shape out of the cardboard and color it your favorite color. Cut a piece of sponge to glue on where the bristles would go.

Make a Tooth Fairy Bag!

What you will need:
* Felt
* Hole punch
* Scissors
* Small plastic bag
* Yarn
* Yarn needle

Instructions:
Cut two tooth shapes out of the felt. Line them up together. Take the hole punch and punch holes around the outside of the teeth. Thread the yard needle with the yarn and tie a knot on the end of the yarn. Start at the center of the top of the "tooth". Lace all the way around the tooth going right. When you are almost done, place the small plastic bag inside the tooth. Then lace the rest of the way and tie it shut with a bow.

Pass the Toothpaste

Sit in a circle and pass the toothpaste around. When the music stops, whoever is holding the toothpaste has to go sit in the "dental chair" (middle of circle).

Floss Your Teeth

Take the bottom of an empty egg carton and cut into rows. Cut a long piece of white yarn to use as floss. Turn the carton over so the bumps face up. There are the "teeth"! Wrap the yarn around your fingers and "floss" your teeth!

Tooth Decay Experiment

What you will need:
* One fresh apple
* paper bag

Look at a fresh apple. Make a small hole in the apple and place in the paper bag. After a few days, open the bag and cut into the apple. The brown you see is kind of like what happens to your teeth if not brushed regularly.
